Angel Reese’s ‘Cheeky’ IG Story Hints Towards Securing a NIL Deal From Michael Jordan’s Brand: “Put Some Heels On Kevin Durant”

Angel Reese became quite the household name after leading the LSU Tigers to the NCAA championship. She was the top scorer on the roster all throughout the run while putting in some very good plays on the other end too. Despite all this, she has no sneaker deal yet, leading many to wonder about the possibility of one. In her most recent Instagram story, she may have provided the biggest hint yet, to one coming soon.

She has been a sneakerhead for some time. At the end of the day, we don’t think there is a single picture of her wearing any footwear apart from some really expensive sneakers. And it’s something she cheekily used to hint at a little something in her Instagram story.

As we mentioned earlier, as of this current moment, Angel Reese has no sneaker deals with any brands, despite college athletes now being allowed to have NIL contracts with their different sneaker brands.

That said, there seem to be many vying for her signature. And as if to give a little wink in their direction, Reese recently put up an Instagram story, proclaiming sneakers above all else. A Twitter user posted a screenshot of the same.

Of course, this seems like a rather harmless Instagram story… at first, at least.

You see, multiple sneaker brands have been after Angel Reese for some time now, including the likes of Nike and Michael Jordan’s ‘Jordan brand’. And as per reports, she is very much evaluating them at the moment.

Reese is looking for something long-term with a sneaker brand

As per ON3.com, Angel Reese is no longer the type of athlete that can only do one-off deals. Instead, she is now a household name that brands can think about doing long-term deals with, something she very much intends to do.

However, she doesn’t just intend to sign on for money or a short-term contract. Instead, she is looking to receive stock options and equity in the brand, a move very reminiscent of how Shaquille O’Neal now closes business deals.

Could it be that Shaq is imparting his knowledge to one of his favourite LSU athletes ever? Or is Angel Reese already business savvy enough herself to understand these things?

No matter the case, if Reese continues in this trajectory, she is going to be very rich much sooner rather than later.
