Shaquille O’Neal Pulls Celtics’ Star Grant Williams in For a ‘Kiss of Good Luck’ Before Face-Off Against ‘On-Fire’ Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat are akin to a raging bull right now. You’d think that seeing this, Shaquille O’Neal would be beyond happy, considering he won a championship with Miami. However, he spent some time with the Celtics too. This puts him right in the middle, with significant love for both sides. In fact, because of all that love, he even voluntarily pulled Celtics’ Grant Williams in for a kiss of good luck. After all, he had a night of trying to stop Butler ahead of him.
So far, the Celtics are already at a disadvantage in this Conference Finals series. Despite playing in Boston, they are already down 0-1 in this series. Meaning that they have already lost a home game, and can’t afford to lose another tonight.
The problem is, given how deadly Jimmy Butler and his team have been during the playoffs, they’re going to need every ounce of luck and support they can get. And Shaq gave them everything he could in perhaps the weirdest way imaginable.
Shaquille O’Neal wishes Grant Williams luck with a little kiss
Shaquille O’Neal is a very physical person. No matter who he is greeting, he seems to love hugs over handshakes. And apparently, when it comes to people he knows, he prefers kisses over hugs. Really, there is no other way to explain his moment with Grant Williams, something you can check out in the tweet by NBA on TNT below.

Williams will be needing all the luck he can get, so we’re sure he appreciated that little moment. That said, as of the time of writing, guarding Jimmy Butler is still looking like a struggle, to say the absolute least.
Really, as it has been all postseason, Game 2 has been a Jimmy Butler masterclass so far. But, can the Heat star really steal the win in the 4th quarter? Or will Grant Williams heat up and go right back at him to hold on and win?
What were Jimmy Butler and Grant Williams’s stats during Game 1 of Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics?
As per StatMuse Jimmy Butler recorded 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists, while shooting 48% from the field, 50% from the field, and 90% from the free-throw line.
On the other hand, due to tactical reasons, Grant Williams did not play game 1.
