LeBron James’ Infamous Aggressive Spat with Teammate Resurfaces Months After Mario Chalmers Clarification
LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in NBA history. As such, The King has always been the face of the franchise wherever he’s been. This was the case with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Lakers. And, given his status as an elite player, he saw little to no defiance from his other teammates. However, in 2013, when he was situated in Dade County, point guard Mario Chalmers dared to challenge him. This led to a notorious verbal spat, the video of which has now resurfaced on Instagram.
With rumors swirling that Chalmers antagonized LeBron by calling him a b*tch, Chalmers clarified that was not the case. However, this iconic argument continues to be one of the more viral off-the-court moments in the four-time NBA Champion’s career. After all, it was rare to see him so irate. Thus, explaining why footage of the same has made a comeback on social media.
Months after clarifying that he did not call LeBron James a b*tch, video of Mario Chalmers’ infamous spat with The King resurfaces
Back in 2013, the Miami Heat were the favorites to win it all. With LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh on the roster, it was hard to imagine them losing. But, there were times when the impossible seemed possible, and on the 18th of December 2013 they were having a tough time against the Indian Pacers
Things were not looking good, and tensions were high. This ultimately led to a huge spat at the Heat bench. The spat in question was between LeBron and his point guard, Mario Chalmers. One that became a huge part of NBA lore, as many believed Chalmers called Mario a “b*tch.”
However, a few months ago, Chalmers put these rumors to rest. He clarified that he did not call LeBron anything of the sort. But, rather he told King James to stop playing like a “b*tch”. The video of the same has now resurfaced on social media, and it’s safe to say that at the time things were not looking good. Both for Chalmers and Miami’s chemistry.
“I said stop playing like a b*tch. That’s what I said. I didn’t call him a b*tch!”

Basketball is a competitive sport, so it’s not that surprising to see tempers flare. Lucky for Chalmers, The King is a mature player and the two were able to set aside their differences.
King James apologized for his outburst moments after getting in Chalmers’ face
The video of LeBron James’ infamous argument on the bench with Mario Chalmers has been the cause of much debate. Many have criticized him for his lack of leadership, while some have supported his aggressive reaction. However, what most people forget is that he apologized for what he did just moments after the spat.
In the video, King James can be seen putting his ego aside and recognizing his mistake, apologizing to “Rio” for his outburst. It was an act of maturity on his part. And, one that seemed to mend any problems that the team as a whole was facing. Seeing, as they displayed their dominance by coming back to win the game against the Pacers.
