12 Days After $1,000,000 Challenge, Conor McGregor Labeled ‘Average MMA Fighter’ by Logan Paul
Conor McGregor got dragged into the feud between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul from the moment he predicted Danis’ victory over Paul. ‘The Notorious’ and ‘El Jefe’ are close compatriots as Danis has been coaching the Irishman in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a long time, so it wasn’t a huge surprise when McGregor backed his friend against Paul. However, ‘The Ultimate Influencer’ asked McGregor to put a $1 million bet on his claims. Now, 12 days after the challenge, Paul went on to brutally criticize ‘average’ McGregor in an interview with Misfits.
Dillon Danis and Logan Paul are going to fight on Saturday, October 14th in Manchester Arena. Dillon Danis, who’s returning to the fight business after a long hiatus, has been going after Logan Paul’s fiance Nina Agdal on social media.
As a response, Paul involved Danis’ friend McGregor in the mix by challenging him to a $1 million bet. The Irishman hasn’t responded to the challenge yet, and this is not sitting well with the WWE star.
Logan Paul fires shots at Conor McGregor
Fans are entertained in the lead-up to Dillon Danis vs. Logan Paul as Danis is using a strategy previously implemented by his friend Conor McGregor, to play mind games with his opponent Paul before the fight.
Danis is bringing up Paul’s fiancee Nina Agdal’s past pictures and uploading them on social media. ‘The Ultimate Influencer’ addressed the situation with Danis in a recent interview with Misfit whilst going after McGregor’s prediction himself, Paul said:
“Conor McGregor’s an average MMA fighter and a horrible boxer. I’m going to beat the sh*t out of his bit*h Dillon, and then I’m going to beat the sh*t out of him.“
Danis was helping out McGregor so far in his career by coaching him. However, now the Irishman has offered to aid Danis ahead of his fight against Paul.
McGregor offers to coach Danis
McGregor was present ringside when Anthony Joshua defeated Robert Helenius in the seventh round via knockout on 12th August. After the fight, McGregor answered a reporter about Danis’ upcoming fight vs. Paul.
Danis and McGregor have been training together for years and the Irishman revealed during the interview that he will be training Danis this time around. McGregor said:
“They’re already backtracking right now. They woke an animal. [I’ve known] Dillon years and I’ve trained with him many times. I’m guiding him. I’m gonna train him for this and I guarantee a win.“
Danis and McGregor’s friendship runs back years. He was a big part of McGregor’s team when he fought with his rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018. Similarly, McGregor is rooting for Danis’.
It remains to be seen whether McGregor’s influence will help Danis overcome Paul. Also, whether or not the former UFC champion answers to Paul’s $1 million bet.
