Brittany & Patrick Mahomes Once Miserably Failed at Koala Challenge – Chiefs’ Physical Therapist Must’ve Had a Heart Attack

The year was 2020 — the height of the Covid era. Online challenges were all the rage. And Patrick Mahomes and Brittany, the NFL’s power couple, also tried a few, including the “Koala Challenge”. Well, that one didn’t go quite as planned.

The “Koala Challenge” required one partner to act as the tree while the other climbed over them like a Koala. The way Patrick had to contort his body for the challenge would’ve made his physical therapist wince. What if the star QB had injured himself.

The tricky part, however, was that the tree (in this case, Patrick) must not grab the partner (Brittany) or help her in any manner. Until the koala has done the entire routine, moving from one part of the tree to another, without touching the ground.

At the time, Brittany had posted a video of them trying the challenge on her Instagram with the caption, “First attempt, there will be more” along with some laughing emojis. It has resurfaced now as a throwback.

Mahomes had stood firmly in a wide stance with his arms outstretched. His better half, mimicking the koala, jumped onto his torso, wrapping her legs around his waist.

She begins circling around and managed to get on his back and return to the front. The quarterback was seen struggling to stand firm. It was around this point, that the trouble began.

Brittany started climbing on his back upside down, struggling to do so. Mahomes widened his stance and bent backward to help his wife. Upside down, her legs locked under the QB’s arms, Brittany clumsily attempted to climb back up from between his legs.

At this point, Mahomes even broke the challenge’s rule by holding his wife’s hands for support. Ultimately, Brittany gave up, landing on the floor with a not-so-painful thud.

The challenge, while it was fun for the couple, must’ve been nerve-wracking for the Kansas City Chiefs fans. It seemed tough even for Pat and Brittany, who are athletes and in prime physical shape.

One can assume the team’s physical therapist, Julie Frymyer, didn’t come across the video at the time. Or else, Mahomes would’ve received an earful.
