Alexis Ohanian Teases Serena Williams by Naming 3 Things That He is Better at Than Her

Seven years into their marriage, Serena Williams, and Alexis Ohanian lead a happy life in LA, being doting and passionate parents and co-investors. And the power couple loves pulling each other’s legs, a clear hint as to how deep their bond is. Ohanian’s latest tease was about how he aces over Serena when it comes to video games, art, and last but not the least, cooking.

Of course, the Reddit co-founder will not dare challenge the 23-time Grand Slam champion on the tennis court. Ohanian, however, said that he has the bragging rights at home when it comes to video games.

However, he also admitted that it is “not much of a skill”, while talking on the SPolitics podcast. The interviewer, Jemele Hill, had asked Ohanian to list the things he is better at than Serena and which ‘ticks her off’.

The first thing Ohanian could think of was art. He, apparently, can come up with good drawings and paintings for his daughters by following instructions on YouTube.

He then bragged about his cooking skills. To be fair, Ohanian did clarify that Serena is very good at baking. But overall in cooking, he thinks he is better even though he knows Serena “will contest that claim”. Then came the video game boast.

While sharing this segment of the talk on Instagram, Ohanian, in fact, teased Serena again by mentioning that she maybe the best at tennis, but in everything else, he is.

Serena and Ohanian share a lot of playful banter. They had come together for a content segment with Lingo, the healthcare app for which both of them are brand ambassadors, where they shared a lot more about their relationship.

Serena and Ohanian did not get off on the right foot

Ohanian kickstarted the ‘SpikeSessions’ episode by asking Serena if she remembered what their first meal together was. Just before the video revealed that the two had shared a Poulet roti frites, Serena justified why she brought her agent and assistant along with her: she was unsure about Ohanian.

“Yeah because I didn’t know you and I didn’t know your game, I didn’t know what you were about. I had to bring back up,” Serena admitted.

In another podcast, Ohanian spoke about the time when he and Serena were just friends, and the tennis legend offered him some free coaching lessons. That was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, for sure. But Ohanian, who wasn’t exactly a tennis fan at the time, turned her down.

Serena was stunned, and it almost strained their budding friendship.

Reflecting on that, Ohanian couldn’t help but laugh at himself for making what he calls a “historic blunder”.He joked that he would be the only person in the world to have ever refused free tennis lessons from Williams.
