Tony Khan, AEW President, spoke to the media post Double or Nothing. He revealed that Moxley had signed a multiple year deal. However, Moxley is allowed to work internationally and also some domestic independent dates before AEW debuts on the TNT Network and their schedule becomes more hectic. After which, Moxley and many others will become the exclusive property of AEW.
The word internationally was what caught the attention of some. Then began murmurs of a possible New Japan appearance. Moxley had earlier dropped a video on Twitter following his exit from the WWE. That video was laden with hints about his move to AEW. The new video of him sitting in a bar and watching NJPW matches on TV while carving an anarchist symbol on the table is much more direct.
Moxley was a workhorse in the WWE but felt like he was being held back by creative. With his freedom back, He looks like a man reborn, doing what he loves the most, Wrestling.
