WWE United States Championship: Rey Mysterio forced to relinquish the title. The Luchador will address the WWE Universe next week on Raw.

Rey Mysterio won the United States Championship for the first time in his career when he defeated Samoa Joe at Money in the Bank. However, it looks like the champ will not get to defend his title at all.

The WWE had announced on their website that the future of the United States Championship would be addressed tonight. It was reported earlier that Rey suffered an injury during his match at Money in the bank. WWE have seemingly confirmed the reports. Michael Cole announced on commentary that Rey will relinquish his United States Championship next week on Raw due to a separated shoulder.

The fans can only wonder what lies in store for the championship. However, Samoa Joe did walk out to the ring to say he is coming to get it back.
