Fox & Amazon Emerge as Kelce’s Broadcasting Frontrunners Based on Wedding Guest List

Travis Kelce‘s wedding guest list hints at where his career is headed next. Analysis of who attended – and who did not – points strongly toward Fox and Amazon as the most likely destinations for Kelce’s post-playing broadcasting career.

The pattern was first flagged by Drew Lerner of Awful Announcing, who noted that both Fox and Amazon had a notably strong presence at the event, while representatives from CBS and NBC appeared to be absent.

Examining the Guest List

Fox rules analyst Dean Blandino was confirmed on the guest list. ESPN also had a solid presence, which makes sense given that Jason Kelce, Travis’s brother, is currently employed there. The initial story by Pro Football Talk suggested CBS was entirely absent, but Mike Florio later updated the piece. A source confirmed that Jim Nantz and Tony Romo, CBS’s top broadcast duo, were in attendance.

The absence of prominent NBC representation remains notable, particularly given that NBC Sports operates Sunday Night Football.

Kelce’s Broadcasting Experience So Far

Kelce already has a working relationship with Amazon through the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason. The show has been cross-promoted with Amazon’s Thursday Night Football coverage since 2023, and Amazon has used Kelce in TNF-related promotional content, making this a relationship that extends well beyond a standard podcast arrangement.

His on-camera credentials extend beyond audio. Kelce hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2023 to strong reviews, and on New Heights he regularly breaks down coverages, route concepts, and game management in the kind of detail that media critics have compared favorably to Romo’s analyst style.

Could Kelce Replace Kirk Herbstreit on TNF?

Rumors circulated last year that Kelce was interested in Kirk Herbstreit‘s seat in the Thursday Night Football booth. Herbstreit’s current deal runs through 2026, which creates a natural transition. Florio noted that a dual role – Thursday Night Football and Fox NFL Sunday – would be more manageable than Herbstreit’s current triple duty across ESPN College GameDay, the top ESPN/ABC college game, and TNF.

Florio estimated the combined value of those two roles at over $40 million per year. “Frankly, Travis would get whichever gig he wants, at any network with an available spot. The only question is the price.”

Kelce‘s crossover appeal – amplified by his now wife Taylor Swift – makes him uniquely attractive to networks looking to expand their NFL audience beyond traditional sports viewers.
