“I know where James Harden will be traded”: NBA insider claims Rockets front office will be shipping him off to Eastern Conference powerhouse
An NBA insider claims to know that the Houston Rockets are likely to trade James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons.
The James Harden rumor mill is a bit quiet when compared to the noise it was generating during the offseason. NBA Twitter was working overtime, churning out possible trade destinations every few days.
These destinations included teams such as the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Miami Heat. It was reported that Harden had his own list of preferred destinations. He included the Blazers, Bucks, and the Celtics on this list, according to sources.
Though the news has quieted down about Harden wanting out, this isn’t stopping NBA insiders from snooping around, trying to sniff out leads on what Houston may do.
Adam Silver was clear in message that he would prefer if the Rockets dealt with this in-house, and not let the media in on their next moves.
James Harden will reportedly most likely make his way to Philly
Though James Harden has been suiting up for the Rockets for the past few games, it is still clear that he wants out. An NBA insider reveals what he believes will be the Rockets’ next step when it comes to Harden.
Henry Abbott of True Hoop says:
“The list of teams where Harden might end up grows and shifts daily. Many insiders believe Philadelphia is most likely. Harden wants to be there and Morey loves Harden so much, he was just fined for an automated tweet praising Harden. Ben Simmons is the kind of young star Rafael Stone seeks in return.”
“All of this stuff is going to die down, and then all of a sudden out of nowhere, boom, he’s going to get traded for Ben Simmons.” https://t.co/60kqchiuYc

Ben Simmons has been linked to the Rockets ever since the Harden rumors started trickling in. He is a great young star who would mesh quite well with the floor spacing the Rockets have to offer. His fit next to John Wall however would difficult to figure out.
The 2018 MVP however, has a great relationship with Philly’s Head of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey. A reunion between the two is completely in the realm of possibility.
