Even the simplest of releases get sold out within seconds. There is no denying the impact of Jordan, the name. So, what happens when a pair of shoes worn by the man himself becomes available for purchase?

Michael Jordan’s game-worn sneakers go for $92,000!
The sneakers, which were a special pair of Air Jordan 11 Concord from his iconic 1996 season went on auction, in a bizarre manner.
The shoe was sold as “a company”, where buyers could get a piece of the shoe through the auction conducted by Rally. Buyers put up bids for 65,000 and 70,000 Dollars. Until one buyer decided he wanted the whole thing for a whopping $92,000!
That is enough to purchase a house! Of course, of late thanks to the emergence of NFT and collectible culture, prices of memorabilia have soared.
However, this one was particularly special.

So, when asked about which one of his multiple Air Jordan releases was his favorite, he claimed that it was like choosing between your children. Of course, this didn’t stop MJ from actually choosing a favorite.
He chose the 1996 Air Jordan Concord 11 as his favorite, followed by the Air Jordan 3.
And a game-worn sneaker from 1996, which also happens to be the GOAT’s favorite? We can’t think of a better reason as to why it sold for such an absurd sum of money.
