‘Settling’ For $80,000 Ring, Dennis Rodman Had Second Doubts About Marrying Carmen Electra 9 Days Before Filing For Annulment
Dennis Rodman had a colorful lifestyle both on and off the field. He eventually built up a reputation for being a wild man in the league. The former Chicago Bulls star married Hollywood actress Carmen Electra in Las Vegas by putting an $80,000 ring on her finger. However, Rodman started to have doubts on the very first night of the marriage. Finally, citing their mental state on the day of marriage, the couple filed for divorce just after nine days.
Rodman’s life was of public interest during his playing years. However, it is only with a few women that the public or the media knows that Rodman had relations. Two of his most high-profile relationships were with pop-star Madonna and Baywatch actress Carmen Electra. Later, decades after his relationships with them were over, Dennis released his book, giving details about his relationship with two Hollywood women.
Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra had an immediate connection but divorced only after nine days of marriage
Rodman and Electra met at a restaurant, and there was an immediate connection. Rodman recalls that the relationship was unreal. They used to sleep with each other but it never got physical for the first few days.
“We went to eat sushi, we came home, we lay on the bed and we looked at each other and we talked, we talked, we talked. She was there four or five days… and we never made love. It was something unreal.”

Later in November 1998, the couple married at the Chapel of the Flowers. However, they ended their marriage only after nine days. They tried to reconcile, but by April 1999, they were separated. Before marrying Electra, Rodman had second thoughts, but he said “get on with this bu**s*it.” During their relationship, both Electra and Dennis used to go on extravagant trips to Vegas. From a bar to a restaurant all over Vegas, the couple were out all night. It went to a point where Electra thought it was devastating for her career.
Rodman refused to pay his third wife the spousal and child support
Dennis Rodman has been married three times in his life. His first two marriages with Annie Bakes (less than 90 days) and Carmen Electra (9 days) lasted less than a year. However, the Worm finally seemed to settle down with his third wife, Michelle Moyer. However, that too came to an end after nine years. Rodman was asked to pay an unpaid $808,935 in child support and $51,441 in unpaid spousal support. Dennis’ attorney said his client was unable to pay the money because he had no money.
“In all honesty, Dennis, although a sweet person, is an alcoholic. His sickness impacts his ability to get work.”
Interestingly, Moyer had filed for divorce just after the first year of marriage. However, they remained officially married until 2012.
