“Shut the f**k up!”: Joel Embiid tries to silence the State Farm Arena in Game 4 against the Atlanta Hawks
Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid gets booed by the Atlanta Hawks home crowd, he yells at them to ‘shut the f**K up’
The Atlanta Hawks came on a mission tonight. The home team knew that if they lost tonight, it would be almost impossible to come back. Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks managed to secure a 103-100 win to tie the series at 2-apiece.
Trae scored a game-high 25 points and dished 18 assists to lead the way. Bogdan Bogdanovic also scored 22 points in this close contest. Meanwhile, for the Sixers, no one was in rhythm offensively. Tobias Harris scored 20 points, whereas Joel Embiid scored 17 and grabbed 21 rebounds.
The uncharacteristically low points scored by Joel Embiid were because of him not getting the foul calls he’s used to getting. Even though Embiid attempted 8 free throws and knocked all of them down, there were multiple times where it felt like Embiid should have been given a call, but wasn’t.

Frustration can get the best of anyone. Frustration is at different levels of high when you are the star of your team and your shots won’t fall. Late in the third quarter, Joel Embiid was arguing with the referees about the lack of a call.
Embiid was talking about his drive to the basket and the previous jump shot he had attempted. The referees paid no heed to the MVP candidate.
However, the Atlanta crowd started booing Joel Embiid during this whole sequence. Embiid first told the officials, and said, “I’ll remember that call, just watch.” He then turned to the crowd and told them to “Shut the f**k up.”

The Hawks managed to survive in the series and would be feeling much more confident heading back to Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the Sixers would look to get back to their winning ways. Game 5 of the series takes place on Wednesday.
