"I'll Get on My Knees Shannon Sharpe": Tyreek Hill With "Buttered-Up" Hands Boldly Displays Why He's the Best Catcher on Tiktok

Tyreek Hill leaving Kansas City was perhaps one of the biggest stories of 2022. ‘The Cheetah’ was drafted by the Chiefs back in 2016, after which he went on to sign a $2.580,000, 4-year rookie contract with them. However, 6 years after that, Hill expressed his will to leave the unit, as he wasn’t getting paid as per his wish.

Hence, last year, the Miami Dolphins gave away 5 draft picks to get their hands on the six-time Pro Bowler. This included a first-round pick for 2022. While the Chiefs did lose a vital member of the receiver corps, innumerable fans and experts reckon that Hill is the one who has lost the most out of this.

Tyreek Hill left the Chiefs because they did not pay him enough to stay

On the debut episode of Wideout’s ‘It Needed To Be Said’, Tyreek Hill talked about why he did not stay with the Chiefs. He explained that even though his heart wanted him to continue playing for the Kansas City outfit, the offer simply was not good enough. Hill was expecting a contract that gave him $25-26 million a year. However, the Chiefs’ offer seemed to barely reach that figure.

“I’m like, ‘Hey Coach, yo like, I ain’t even gotta be the highest-paid, for real. I just want to be put in like a realistic position that’s like realistic for me and my family,'” Hill said on the show. “I don’t gotta get $30 million. At least get me 25, 26. … Numbers wasn’t even close to that”. Though, some would say his move to Miami did not help much in that regard either.

During the negotiation period, head coach Andy Reid had suggested that the Chiefs made an aggressive offer to retain Hill. He told reporters, “I love Tyreek Hill. There’s no rift between Tyreek Hill and myself. I thought he deserved an opportunity if that’s where he wanted to go. He’s a family man that has a few kids and he’s got to be able to support them now and down the road, and this gives him an opportunity to do that.

Hill went on to sign a $120 million contract with the Dolphins. Of which, he is set to make $72.2 million in guaranteed money. For the Chiefs, this move was nothing but a temporary disturbance, as they went on to nab other prolific receivers. Such as JuJu Smith Schuster and Marquez Valdes Scantling.

Hill is currently under investigation for assault and battery

While his 2022 season was more or less good, Hill’s off-season does not seem to be going great. Reportedly, the Dolphins receiver is being investigated for assault and battery by the Miami PD, after he allegedly hit an employee of a charter company. As it turns out, this isn’t the first time when Tyreek has had a run-in with the law. In the past, he has been accused of domestic violence and child abuse which also tarnished his image to a massive extent.

While things may not be exactly rosy right now, Hill will definitely be looking forward to this season. With Tua Tagovailoa returning to QB duties, he would be hoping to be targeted quite a few times. Who knows, maybe the duo will lead the Dolphins into the playoffs, maybe even to the Super Bowl? Does Miami have what it takes to be a part of the big table?
