Allen Robinson Looking For Major Contract Extension, Seeking $100 Million Reportedly
Allen Robinson, the Chicago Bears wide receiver is set to be a free agent going into the 2021 offseason. Robinson has made a name for himself, but is apparently demanding more money than anyone expected.
Allen Robinson had a fantastic 2021-21 NFL season, but his asking price for a contract may be too high. Here’s a look at his demands:
Allen Robinson seeking $100million deal
The wide receiver is looking for a 4 year, $100million deal, seeking $25million per year. He had a solid past season, recording more than 100 receptions and a staggering 1250 receiving yards.
The 27-year old is looking to be one of the highest-paid receivers in the league. If he does receive this deal, he would be the second highest-paid receiver after DeAndre Hopkins.

Can the Chicago Bears afford him?
The answer is most probably no. The Bears would have roughly $10.5 million in cap space, and unless they shed other player’s contracts that’s not enough for what Robinson wants. However, they can bring back Robinson for just 1 more year.
The Bears could franchise tag Allen Robinson. This would lock him into a one-year deal somewhere between $16-18 million depending on where the 2021 salary cap ends up.
Allen Robinson Free Agency Predictions
Robinson might not get as big of a salary as he wants, but he can still settle for a reasonably solid deal. One team that might be interested are the New York Jets.
He put up solid receiving numbers under quarterback Nick Foles and Mitchell Tribusky. Neither of them excelled this past season as quarterback play was incredibly inconsistent for the Bears.
If the Jets draft a solid quarterback such as Justin Fields with the second overall pick, Robinson could form a great connection with him.
Prediction: Allen Robinson signs with Jets to a 3 year $55million deal
