The Jacksonville Jaguars had a forgettable 2021 season. As a result, not many were expecting the team to make their way into the playoffs this time around. However, they did end up crossing that hurdle without much trouble.

Still, not many were expecting them to win the wildcard playoff game against Justin Herbert’s Chargers but they did end up defying all expectations once again and that too in a super dramatic fashion.

As soon as the Chargers vs Jaguars contest started, the team from Los Angeles looked in complete control. They managed to take a whopping 17 point lead before even going into the second quarter.

They tightened the screws further before halftime and managed to go 27-0 up. At that time, absolutely no one had an idea what was going to unfold in the second half.

Anonymous fan loses $1.4 million due to Chargers’ wildcard defeat

The Chargers were marching ahead and the odds were overwhelmingly in favor of them. As a result, as NFL fan tried playing safe by putting up a massive bet in favor of the Chargers.

The anonymous person opted to place a $1.4 million bet on Chargers’ win through Draftking Sportsbook. The best case scenario for the person was to earn a maximum of $11,200. Needless to say, these weren’t great odds but because the game was so overwhelmingly in favor of the Chargers, going home with a sure shot $11,200 didn’t seem that bad an idea.

However, the jaguars came out all guns blazing after the second quarter and somehow managed to win the game by a single point. It was one of the biggest comebacks in the history of NFL playoffs.

Jaguars fans were shouting on the top of their voices, Chargers fans were dejected and massively disappointed as their team allowed the game to slip away from their grasp.

However, the person who must have been grieving the most is the one who lost $1.4 million in a jiffy. As far as the Jaguars are concerned, they now have a massive hurdle in front of them. They’ll next take on Mahomes’ Chiefs in the Divisional Round game and we can expect another humdinger.
