Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos are no longer viewed by networks as primetime TV candidates due to how poorly they are doing in 2022. They were actually in such danger of dropping out that not even a matchup with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs could save them.

After the Broncos acquired former All-Pro quarterback Russell Wilson through trade, networks scrambled to air the team during primetime. The Broncos’ offense, on the other hand, is currently among the worst in the NFL.
With fewer than 15 points per game, Denver is on pace for the lowest-scoring season in more than 20 years. Networks no longer want the team to appear at primetime as a result.

Denver Broncos Removed From Prime Time
The Broncos vs. the Chiefs game has been pushed up to 2:05 pm from its original Sunday Night Football time slot in Week 12. The Los Angeles Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins game has been flexed to 8:20 PM for primetime viewing in the meantime (ET).
To be honest, it’s difficult to blame the NFL and television networks for their dislike of the Broncos. They are not only preventing their rivals from scoring many points, but are also not scoring many points themselves. Simply put, it’s hard to watch Russell Wilson and company right now.
#Broncos Russell Wilson conversation:
🎙️Sherman: “He on the struggle bus.”
🎙️Lynch: “Man, I wanna reach out do dawg.”
🎙️Sherman: “Yeah, we talk to him — his manager. His manager.”
🎙️Lynch: “If I can’t call you direct, I ain’t calling you, especially if I went to war with you.”— NFL Rumors (@nflrums) October 16, 2022
The league might even be doing them a favour by barring them from primetime television. The Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs, who are currently in first place in the AFC with a 9-2 record, may have just spared the Broncos from a humiliating loss on a global scale.
With a record of 3-8 in 2022, the Broncos’ season might be over. A late surge is unlikely and the team hasn’t yet demonstrated that they have the ability to turn things around.
