After Winning $2 Million Betting on Israel Adesanya, Drake Bags Another ‘Million’ as Gervonta Davis Drops Ryan Garcia
Due to his regular wagering, the Grammy-winning artist Drake is well-known in the combat sports community. The Canadian rapper places significant bets on a variety of sports, including the NFL, NBA, MMA, and others. Drake thus either suffers significant losses or successfully cashes in heavy on his wagers. The rapper is in the news for his daring wagering regardless of the result.
The renowned rapper is once again in the public eye, after his predictions on one of the year’s most intriguing boxing events, Ryan Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis, come true.
Drake bags over $1 million from Ryan Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis
The ‘It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This’ 12-round dream match between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis took place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas today. With an unbeaten record, both competitors are among the finest in the sport. The battle thus received a lot of publicity.
Interestingly, Drake also included his prediction of the boxing contest. He placed a bet of more than $1 million on Davis to do better than Garcia and shared a screenshot of the wager on his Instagram account.

The fight was preceded by a lot of trash-talking. However, since the beginning of the bout, Davis, the former WBA lightweight champion, appeared sharper. In the second round of the bout, he knocked Garcia to the ground.
Finally, in the seventh round of the fight, Davis felled Garcia with a brutal liver shot. The latter was unable to overturn the referee’s count, giving “Tank” the victory. Drake placed a $1 million bet on Davis at 1.38 odds, and he ended up winning $1,380,000.
Drake’s bet on Israel Adesanya
As previously mentioned, Drake frequently places bets on major bouts. Similarly to this, he supported Israel Adesanya, the UFC middleweight champion, at UFC 287, despite having previously lost money betting on him.
At UFC 281, “The Last Stylebender” was knocked out and handed his UFC championship to Alex Pereira. Drake, who bet on Adesanya, therefore lost more than $2 million. Drake, though, once more backed Izzy to prevail by knockout before the rematch at UFC 287.
It’s interesting to note that Israel Adesanya met Drake’s expectations. In the second round of the battle, he stunned his opponent and regained the championship. Drake had bet about $1 million, and after the battle, he reportedly made $2 million.
What are your thoughts on Drake’s bet on fighters? What is your reaction to Gervonta Davis’ knockout of Ryan Garcia?
