Mendez instantly stated that he would have accepted anything Nurmagomedov had to offer. But Mendez said that the Russian MMA great did something special for him after retirement.

“He’s just like I’m good with just what he gave me. That was like twenty thousand dollars. But he had no problem doing that, you know, and I love him. He loves me. You know, we are in each other’s life for life. Our loyalty, our bond. Uh. You know it won’t be broken.”

According to reports, Nurmagomedov is currently worth over $40 million. As a result, spending $20k isn’t a huge problem for him. However, several of his friends and teammates have frequently mentioned Nurmagomedov assisting them financially, demonstrating his loyalty to his team.
