‘I guess we will have to do 6 fights in 2021’: Kevin Holland Intends to go one better in 2021
Kevin Holland intends to stop at nothing and indicates that in the coming year he will extend the number of appearances to 6.
After completing 5 times in the last 7 months and coming on top each time, Kevin Holland is apparently the undisputed fighter of the year. With this incredible run, he has cemented his place in the Middleweight rankings as well and according to a new update, he has climbed 5 spots to reach 10th place.
Despite the superb show, he is not willing to call it a year. Post his match at UFC 256, the Trailblazer commented that he wants to come back again next week, and called out Khamzat Chimaev. Now, with only a handful of days left for the final fight night to arrive, the chances of him featuring in the card are bleak, however, he is still intact with the stance that he wants to fight again in 2020.
Tagged as big mouth by UFC president Dana White for continuously uttering words during his fight, the 28-year-old is vocal on social media as well. He on Tuesday took to Twitter to express his plans for 2021 and hints that he wants to better his 2020 heroics while weighing in on the fact that 2020 hasn’t finished yet.
He wrote: “I guess we will have to do 6 fights in 2021. But ya never know. I got the itch to compete again before the end of this month!”

What’s Next For Kevin Holland?
Considering the rate at which Kevin Holland rose to prominence in 2020, 2021 might prove to be a breakthrough year for him. If he intends to make as many appearances as he did in 2020, then a future title shot is certainly looming.
Moreover, there is a certain amount of animosity between Israel Adesanya (UFC Middleweight Champion) and him. So, no doubt an expletive build-up will be awaiting. But, it’s in the future and as of now, he might look to contest against a Top-5 opponent of the weight division.
