Jon Anik receives flak from Chris Gutierrez for the comments he made during his fight with Andre Ewell at UFC 258.

One of the premier voices of the sport Jon Anik apparently became a subject of controversy at UFC 258. Anik, who was carrying out his broadcasting duties along with Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier at the show, evidently deviated from the fight affair at one instance and emphasized on the personal lives of two preliminary card participants.

During the fight between Andre Ewell and Chris Gutierrez, Anik ostensibly brought out a bizarre commonality between the two. According to sources, the broadcaster informed the audience about how both the fighters are facing trouble in attaining the custody of their children.

While Anik is known as a shrewd analyst and an ideal commentator but, on this occasion, the broadcaster is facing polarizing views.

Chris Gutierrez criticizes UFC broadcaster Jon Anik for excessively bringing up a matter of his personal life

Chris Gutierrez, who was one half of the subject, took to Twitter following the culmination of his fight and criticized Jon Anik via the platform, for what he said on the mic.

Though the fighter later deleted his post, however, several users took screenshots of the Tweet and are now spread all over the platform.

While Gutierrez took the critical approach, his opponent for the night Andre Ewell thanked Jon Anik for bringing up the very matter.

“Shoutout to Jon Anik for bringing light to my situation! I want everyone to know I’m fighting for my son and that fight is my biggest fight ever. So thank you Jon Anik I know where you heart is at.”
