Virat Kohli and team send a farewell gift to Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi’s great cricketing career is finally coming to an end this year. He has been a great servant for Pakistan cricket and will be remembered as one of the great entertainers of world cricket. In a nice gesture, Virat Kohli and team send a farewell gift to Shahid Afridi !

Virat sent his India jersey containing the signatures of all the team members to Afridi as a thank you gift for a fabulous cricketing career.

This was a wonderful gesture as it clearly shows the respect that exists among the Indian and Pakistani cricketers. The political tensions between the two countries have been well documented which has prevented any bilateral cricket series between the two since 2013.

Afridi has a huge fan following in India and he has admitted that he is quite humbled by the love that he gets in India. And such generous acts would go a long way in ensuring that Kohli gets the same love and warmth in Pakistan.
