Virat Kohli gifts his pads: The Indian captain was seen gifting his pads to a young fan after winning the Melbourne Test.

India captain Virat Kohli was ecstatic after winning the third Test against Australia by 137 runs. Kohli had every reason to celebrate after India fast bowler Ishant Sharma dismissed Nathan Lyon for be equaled former India captain Sourav Ganguly’s record of 11 overseas wins as Test captain.

With India earning a 2-1 lead in the series (one match remaining), it is certain that they will take the Border-Gavaskar Trophy home irrespective of what happens in the Sydney Test.

While Kohli led the celebrations, his teammates followed him avidly. After shaking hands with the Australian players, the Indian players were seen thanking the crowd at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground).

Kohli drew further eyeballs when he was witnessed gifting his pads to a young fan. Kohli went inside the dressing room, brought out his pads and was seen giving it to a fan who was sitting in the first row. Watch the full video below:

 

The 30-year old cricketer’s heartening act for a fan spoke highly about him as an individual. While he is a fierce competitor on the field, he also makes sure that he keeps such young fans happy.
