Triple H opens up on wanting to see Conor McGregor in WWE

Triple H opens up on wanting to see Conor McGregor in WWE. The king of kings has opened the WWE’s doors to the ‘The Notorious’.

Several MMA stars have successfully crossed over to the WWE, more so in recent years. Brock Lesnar, who rose to stardom in the WWE, became the UFC heavyweight champion before returning to the WWE. Ronda Rousey also took her shop to the promotion and took to the art like fish to water.

Cain Velasquez and even boxer Tyson Fury showed up at the promotion last year. However, WWE’s Triple H has made vocal his desire to see more combat sports in the future. Namely UFC duo Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier.

UFC legend Daniel Cormier has reportedly said he will retire after one more match. Triple H has now handed him a lucrative retirement plan, provided it doesn’t conflict with his tenure with the UFC.

“I love Daniel. We’ve obviously talked a lot in the past. We’ve had conversations about him doing stuff with us in the past whether that’s in-ring or whether that’s commentary or doing different things,” Triple H told TMZ.

“I think we’d love to do something with him if the time is right — obviously, respectful to UFC and to Dana and everything else.”

“We’d love to chat with him and we have an open relationship as far as communication so I’m sure shortly we will when he figures out what he wants to do.”

Triple H also spoke about Conor McGregor joining the WWE. He joked that ‘The Notorious’ could face Vince McMahon for the rights to their quirky walk to the ring.

“I think that Conor McGregor versus Vince McMahon with that Billion Dollar Walk on the line?! I mean, I think that’s a match made in heaven!” he said.

In the past, Triple H has said that McGregor has everything to succeed in the WWE.

“He could come over, he’s got it all, man,” Triple H said back in 2017.

“He’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure.

“What does he walk around at? 180 pounds? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200-pound guys who are stars. You don’t need to be 300 pounds any more.

“He could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show. That really worked. Conor could do it for sure.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
