WWE World Heavyweight Championship

WWE recently unveiled its new World Heavyweight Championship. The new title resides on WWE’s flagship show, Raw. Since Roman Reigns is going to continue his reign on SmackDown, WWE Raw deserves a new top Champion. After the unveiling of the World Heavyweight Championship, multiple reports suggested that Seth Rollins would be the top star to chase the title. A new report indicates that the Championship title will be up for grabs between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre put a stop to the rumor mill after he was drafted to Raw. McIntyre was heavily speculated to leave WWE for AEW. At one point, McIntyre removed WWE references from his social media. This led the fans to believe that AEW ALL In could be where McIntyre is headed next.

However, The Scottish Warrior is very much with WWE and doesn’t seem to be jumping ship. In fact, McIntyre may very well be the next World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE is reportedly planning a match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre to crown the new World Heavyweight Champion

Xero News reports that Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre are internally being discussed to chase the World Heavyweight Championship. In addition, the report also says that Drew McIntyre is going to play heel. This is interesting because both Rollins and McIntyre are top heels on Raw.

Much like Drew McIntyre’s rumored dissatisfaction with WWE, Seth Rollins was making rounds due to his supposed disagreement with the Creative.

The Visionary is undeniably one of the top stars on Raw. However, ever since the return of Cody Rhodes, Rollins hasn’t had much success in his singles career.

It makes sense that WWE has been looking for avenues to book Seth Rollins better. With the new World Heavyweight Championship in town, it will be interesting to see the two former WWE Champions go to blows for supremacy.

WWE Hall of Famer praises Seth Rollins for his patience with WWE

While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T lauded Seth Rollins for his patience in WWE. The Hall of Famer recognized that Rollins has been playing “second fiddle” for far too long and needed to be put to good use.

He also added that not a lot of guys have the stoicism to wait for their time to shine again. According to Booker, if it wasn’t Seth, anybody else would have jumped to AEW.

“Seth Rollins, as good as he is, he’s been having to play second fiddle for quite some time because we got to get [someone else their] shine. And that’s just the way the business always has been.” Said Booker.

“Lot of guys wouldn’t have that same attitude or mentality. They’d bounce and go to AEW, I’m serious. Booker added.
