Roman Reigns fan high on weed

2020 was a pivotal year for Roman Reigns after he captured the Universal Championship by defeating Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a triple-threat match. The Tribal Chief has surpassed 800 days as the longest-reigning Universal Champion in history. Last year, the Head of the Table conquered Brock Lesnar and claimed the WWE Championship in a winner take all match. Since then, Roman Reigns has been unbeatable with every title defense. The likes of Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Drew McIntyre, and more have failed to dethrone the WWE Undisputed Champion.

During mid-2022, Roman Reigns hinted at retiring from wrestling at a house show. Reigns told the fans that he would be transitioning into a new phase of life.

Although he is the most dominant force in wrestling today, his influential stint with WWE may be inching toward an end. WWE Hall of Famer predicted that 2023 will be the year for Roman Reigns to step away from wrestling and focus on other projects.

Eric Bischoff believes Roman Reigns will step away from WWE in 2023

Speaking on the Strictly Business podcast, former Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff envisaged Roman Reigns’ future in WWE in 2023. According to him, Roman Reigns is likelier to hang his boots and dip his toes in Hollywood this year.

Bischoff noted that in Hollywood, it’s not about how good you are but “how good you are and who you know”. Considering Roman’s strong affiliation with The Great One, it’s just a matter of time before he is ushered into Hollywood.

“I think Roman Reigns’s long Title reign will come to an end this year and I think the best thing that you could do would be for him to step away for a few months,” Bischoff said.

In 2019, Roman Reigns was seen with the Rock in a spin-off of the Fast and Furious franchise, Hobbs and Shaw. Since the Tribal Chief already got his exposure to Hollywood, it remains to be seen how soon he makes the call to say goodbye to WWE.

Eric Bischoff thinks Cody Rhodes should be the top “guy” in 2023

For months, it has been heavily speculated that Cody Rhodes would be the guy to dethrone Roman Reigns if The Rock fails to do his WrestleMania match. Cody Rhodes’ groundbreaking return and valiant performance at Hell in a Cell have made him the company’s next potential top guy.

Further during the interview, Eric Bischoff stated that if Roman Reigns Vs. The Rock does not happen, Cody Rhodes should be the one to dethrone the Tribal Chief.

“I think Cody’s going to be the guy this year and as he should be in my opinion.”

Cody Rhodes undeniably changed the trajectory of his career while he was away from WWE. His overall transformation cannot be overlooked.

The America Nightmare is hell-bent on winning the WWE Championship, something his father, Dusty Rhodes, could never achieve. It remains to be seen if Cody rules the roost in 2023.
