‘You want to fly?’- Khamzat Chimaev Teases Israel Adesanya By Flaunting Grappling and Takedown Maneuvers
Khamzat Chimaev has posted a clip which displays his impressive Grappling and Takedown maneuverers, and has tagged Israel Adesanya along.
After making some unprecedented strides in UFC in just 5 months, Khamzat Chimaev is the fighter that needs no introduction now. His record turnaround victorious and his attitude has placed him in the good books of Dana White as well, so much so that the Swede even bagged a seat beside the UFC boss at UFC Fight Island 6.
So, while his fight game has made him the bearer of substantial attention, another factor that has expanded his popularity is his social media presence.
During the span of last 3 months, he has used his Twitter and Instagram handles to good effect in disseminating the message that says- He is ready to fight anyone anytime. He also in-process never shied away from calling out some of the most prominent names in the promotion. And in continuation of that intermittent stretch, he recently picked out the biggest fish of the Middleweight division- Israel Adesanya.
Khamzat Chimaev Teases Israel Adesanya By Flaunting Grappling and Takedown Maneuvers
For a fighter who is only three fights old in UFC, yet projected to hold a title by the end of 2021, Khamzat Chimaev is moving step-by-step and right now pursuing a ranked status. And considering his next fight is against Leon Edwards, who is Welterweight No.3, he is seemingly on the right path. Moreover, as of now he is switching between Middleweight and Welterweight, which may attain him one spot in both circuits. But, him posting a video on Instagram and Twitter that showcases his grappling and Takedown prowess, and then tagging the Last Stylebender along, with a caption- You want to fly?- which could also be deceptively taken as a call out, Khamzat might eventually zero-in on the Middleweight division.

With this clip, Khamzat apparently attempts to poke Adesanya, who is more known for his striking ability.
It might be unlikely, but the two may come face to face in the long overhaul to pitch their statement in the never ending debate on Striking Vs. Wrestling.
