Moments after the culmination of month’s marquee event UFC 255, an exciting news emerged that Deiveson Figueiredo, who just headlined the wrapped up card is set for a longer stay in Vegas and three weeks later he will defend the title against Brandon Moreno at UFC 256.
Later in the day it was known that the fight is processed on account of the postponement of the earlier scheduled fight between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling.
While reports suggested that it was Yan, who withdrew from the fight, but a concrete word about the reason was yet to arrive.
Petr Yan Reveals Why He Opted Out of UFC 256
On Monday, via an Instagram live session the Bantamweight champion revealed the ultimate reason which forced him out and also used the platform to comment that nothing is severe.
“Everything’s in force for the fight. It is going to be postponed for about a month and a half, but everything is in order.
“There were different problems , with the fight, with the visa. During training I flew away for a visa deadline. Lots of factors.
“We decided with the team to move everything to next year. Perhaps the card will be more suitable…
“Everything is good, training continues.” (Source- RT Sport)
