Which College Will Arch Manning Commit To?: Alabama and Georgia Emerge as Potential Favorites to Land Eli and Peyton Manning’s Nephew

Arch Manning is one of the most sought-after high school football players, and not just because of his family ties. Where will the nation’s #3 overall recruit play college ball?

Arch Manning has a lot to live up to. His grandfather, Archie, played 13 seasons in the NFL and was selected to the Pro Bowl twice. His uncles, Eli and Peyton, both won the Super Bowl twice each and Peyton won 5 league MVP titles, the most by any player in NFL history.

The amount of pressure that’s been put on the soon-to-be high school junior is a bit unfair, but that’s something he’ll have to deal with right up to the pros.

However strong his bloodline may or may not be, Arch has certainly proved that he’s his own player in the early stages of his career. He’s a 5 star recruit and is ranked as the number pro-style QB in the class of 2023 by 247 Sports.

He has at least a dozen offers from the country’s top football programs, and deservedly so. The only question that remains is where will he commit?

Arch Manning Visited Alabama and Georgia; Impressed by Both

247 Sports originally reported that Arch was in Tuscaloosa over Father’s Day weekend. He had the chance to speak to QB Bryce Young and O-lineman James Brockermeyer to get an idea of the school and program.

This is apparently something that the teenager enjoys doing on visits. He likes to ask players why they chose to play at their respective colleges, and how life on campus is in general.

At Alabama, Manning watched a team practice, spoke with Nick Saban, and had dinner with other members of the coaching staff, including Bill O’Brien.

He went home impressed, in particular by the team culture, the technology they use to ensure optimal performance, and their ability to contend for National Titles year after year.

The following weekend (June 26th and 27th), Arch had a similar experience at Georgia. He interacted with the players, including the starting QB JT Daniels, and had dinner with some of the coaches.

He was reportedly wowed by the new facilities and took a liking to Athens as a college town, which is definitely an overlooked factor in the decision process. Also, head coach Kirby Smart is close friends with Arch’s uncle Peyton.

However, realistically, wherever he ends up committing, he should have some connection or the other given his family tree. Apart from Georgia and Bama, he’s also strongly considering Texas, LSU, and SMU and has offers from both his uncles’ alma maters, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
