Genshin Impact 3.6 update will be released on April 12, 2023. However, HoYoverse will shut down the servers for a short while before the update gets rolled out. The reason behind this is the developer’s efforts to minimize the bugs that could occur in the game.

While all of this happens, the servers will be taken down for about five hours, so that the process becomes extremely smooth. However, the game cannot be played during this time.

Genshin Impact 3.6 servers maintenance time for update

The game’s servers will shut down for five hours and with less than a week left for the update to get rolled out, travelers are getting very excited about the new content. One of the few interesting things about the update would be Baizhu and Kaveh, the two new characters.

In addition to this, a banner rerun of the two previous characters will also be there. Nahida and Nilou will be added as the two banner reruns in the first phase and Ganyu will be seen in the second phase. Here are the timings for different time zones:

As a reward, HoYoverse will give 600 Primogems to travelers for their patience. These rewards can be collected from the in-game mail. For the unversed, these Primogems can only be collected for just 30 days. However, they are not perishable, unless used.

If the maintenance goes on for a little longer, travelers will be gifted 100 more Primogems for every extra hour they have to wait.

Genshin Impact 3.6 banners as per phases

As explained in the special program, travelers will see two phases in the game. In the first phase, players will see two banner reruns, and in the second phase, Baizhu and Kaveh will be introduced along with Ganyu.

According to what was revealed in the leaks, a new expandable area, along with new obstacles in the form of a world boss will also be a part of the update. The former was confirmed in the live stream. However, to get an update on the latter, travelers will have to wait for the update.
