CSK vs SRH Head to Head Record in IPL History

MA Chidambaram Stadium will be in the spotlight in the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League tomorrow. In what is going to be Chennai Super Kings‘ third home match of the season, they will be hosting Sunrisers Hyderabad after a four-year period.

Historically, CSK have dominated this opposition at will on the back of 14 wins in 19 attempts. Having won four out of their last five matches against them, Chennai have never lost a match to Hyderabad at their home ground.

Speaking of their last encounter, the two South Indian teams had faced each other in Pune almost a year ago. Batting first, opening batters Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway had scored individual half-centuries in a match-winning 182-run partnership. In what was the highest opening partnership for Super Kings’ batters, it had seen Gaikwad becoming the fifth batter to get out on 99 in the IPL.

It is noteworthy that it would be no mean task for SRH to defeat CSK at the Chepauk on Friday. Out of 62 matches, the home team has won 42 and lost only 19 matches here. Hyderabad, on the contrary, have won one and lost six out of their eight matches in Chennai. Furthermore, there’s also a significant difference between Super Kings (8.22) and Sunrisers’ (7.8) average run rate at this venue.
