WWE Stomping Grounds poor ticket sales exposed
WWE Stomping Grounds poor ticket sales exposed. Plenty floor seats next to the ring, yet to be booked.
The WWE had earlier announced the introduction of a new pay per view they called ‘Stomping Grounds’. They replaced the previously scheduled Backlash pay-per-view event that was supposed to take place on June 16th with this show. The schedule was changed due to the Saudi Arabia show being moved from early May to June 7th.

However, with just 12 days to go, the new pay per view is having a hard time filling up the 20,722-seater Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. Twitter user @TheVicMacias revealed the state of ticket sales through a Twitter post.
Here is how the Ticketmaster seating map currently looks, with blue seats signifying unsold tickets:

This is not a good look for the company with the Fox deal coming up in the fall later this year. They are already facing troubles with Television Ratings and now have to deal with live attendance issues. So much so, that the company is now offering a 2-for-1 deal on tickets. Their recent European trip too had sparse attendance in the U.K, with the WWE offering free upgraded seats to anyone going to their British shows.
The fact that the card for Stomping Grounds is a rehash of matches that the WWE Universe has seen before doesn’t help either. Both of the world championship matches have been pulled out straight from Super ShowDown last week. While Roman will face Drew McIntyre in a Wrestlemania rematch. Becky is set to face Lacey Evans once again after squaring up with her at Money in the Bank. The only fresh match is Bayley Vs Alexa and that has happened before with disastrous consequences, might I add.
