CM Punk’s UFC future depends on his next fight

With Daniel Bryan announcing his return to in-ring action, many people are now hoping to see a certain Chicago native to also make a U-turn on his decision to quit wrestling.

The subject of Cm Punk’s career has been a talking point ever since his shocking departure from the company after Royal Rumble 2014.

Several people were stunned after the star chose MMA as his next career venture and was immediately snapped up by Dana White to represent UFC.

Injuries forced Punk to delay his debut in the octagon. After a long rehab, the former pro-wrestler debut was a let down for several viewers, as he was forced to submit to Mickey gall in under 2 minutes. Several doubted the potential of Punk in MMA.

After a lengthy lay-off, the star is ready to prove his worth in the UFC with his second fight announced. The former WWE Champion revealed that he is all set to return on June 9 at UFC 225, in his hometown of Chicago.

Being the cocky personality, that he is, Punk also revealed that it would be his hands In the air after the fight is done. Here’s a look at the tweet.

The news was further confirmed by TMZ Sports, who mentioned that Punk’s opponent is not yet determined for the time being.

The fight is crucial if Punk needs to hold on into the field of MMA, it could be the end of the roads for the longest reigning WWE Champion, if he fails to make it count at the event.
