"Bread Pakode Ki Kasam": Virat Kohli Nails Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh Dialogue From 'Band Baaja Baaraat'

As much as former India captain Virat Kohli and actor-producer Anushka Sharma form a power couple in personal life, they have provided signs of being an equally fun couple on multiple occasions in the last few years. Kohli and Sharma, who had first met on the sets of an advertisement for a shampoo brand almost a decade ago, have had each other’s back in all these years.

In spite of being unfairly blamed for India’s losses during the early stages of their relationship, Anushka is spotted cheering for her husband at cricket stadiums quite often. In fact, Kohli had recently acknowledged her visits to the stadiums even after half-a-decade of getting married.

Kohli, who never shies away from blowing kisses to his wife while playing, has termed her his “biggest source of strength“. Been with him and supported him during both good and bad times, there was a reason why Kohli had dedicated a much-awaited 71st international century to Sharma last year.

Both brand ambassadors of PUMA, world’s third-largest sportswear manufacturer, Virat and Anushka had attended an event named Jam With Fam at PUMA India’s headquarter in Bengaluru. Although the even was held last month, a 39-minute video of the same was uploaded on the official YouTube channel of PUMA yesterday.

During one of the fun rounds of the conversation, Virat was asked to repeat a movie dialogue recited by Anushka. Taking into consideration how the former is no slouch when it comes to repeating lines or even acting, Kohli used all his experience of numerous advertisements to create a memorable moment on-camera.

Kohli, who didn’t repeat the dialogue, ended up saying the subsequent line as had happened in Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ (2010).

Pyaar vyaapar ki jodi kabhi nahin baithti. Na bhaiya, main toh single hi best [Love and business never work together. I am best single],” Anushka said a famous dialogue from the movie. “Business kar le mere saath. Bread pakode ki kasam, kabhi dhokha nahin dunga [Let’s become business partners. I swear I will never ditch you],” Kohli surprised one and all.

In what was Anushka’s third movie, she was paired opposite debutant Ranveer Singh in a movie which was produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

What Next For Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Professionally?

Coming on the back of yet another unsuccessful campaign for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League, Kohli has already reached England for his next assignment. Readers must note that India will be contesting against Australia in the final match of the ICC World Test Championship next month.

Sharma, on the contrary, has completed shooting for the biopic of legendary Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami. Having worked as an actor after almost five years, she also has a few upcoming projects in the capacity of a producer.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
