Australia will return to international cricket after four months when they will take on West Indies in the first T20I at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia. Due to different time zones, the match will be played on July 9 in the Caribbean and USA and on July 10 in England, Indian sub-continent, Australia and New Zealand.

In what will be their first-ever five-match T20I series against each other, it is most likely to be dominated by quintessential superstars of the T20 format namely Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Daniel Christian.

Having played only 11 T20Is against each other as of now, this is West Indies’ least number of appearance in the format against a major Test playing nation. The fact that these two teams had last faced each other in this format during the ICC World Twenty20 2014 in Bangladesh further highlights their rare encounters.

As has been the case during international cricket in West Indies and New Zealand in the last year or so, Australia’s tour of West Indies 2021 isn’t available on television channels in India.

Having said that, streaming platform Fan Code is streaming the whole tour at a nominal price. Much like the recently concluded five-match T20I series between West Indies and South Africa, fans won’t have the option of buying a pass only for the first match of the series.

Fans, who wish to buy a pass for the whole tour (five T20Is and three ODIs), will have to pay INR 49 on the website or mobile application of FanCode. It is worth mentioning that the same is a 50% discounted price.

As far as the fans in Australia are concerned, they will be able to watch St Lucia T20Is on their televisions on Fox Cricket (Foxtel) and will be able to stream it on Kayo.

While fans in the UK and USA will have to put on BT Sport and ESPN+ respectively on their televisions for this series, local fans in the Caribbean will be able to follow the match on Flow Sports.
