Due to the myriad of patches in Warzone 2.0, the meta keeps changing. Warzone 2 Guru James “JGOD” Godoy revealed what could be the best meta weapons in Warzone 2.0 and how they are changing the norm.

Call of Duty games have many balance patches so that a single weapon does not become the meta, and people have more options. More often than not, it has not worked since people find a way to exploit some weapons. In Modern Warfare 2, it was the ACR, while in Black Ops 2, it was the FAL, AN-94, and M8A1.

In Warzone 2.0, guns like the Cronen, RPK, and the M4 have dominated the ranked meta and will continue to do so. That is why this guide will look at the best meta weapons in the game and see which are worthy of use in Al Mazrah and Resurgence maps. Let us get into it.

Top 10 Meta Weapons in Warzone 2.0 ft. JGOD

These are the class setups JGOD showed to his subscribers urging them to try out. He also exclaimed that the meta could change given that the Season 5 update is now getting closer and closer. The meta could change given the update patches but most of these weapons will stay in the meta. Although it is Activision, you never know.

That being said, most of these loadouts contain two primaries so that there are no gaps. We advise you to follow these down to a tee. Let us get into it.

10. Sakin MG38 with P890

Note: JGOD did not reveal what the setup was for this weapon but we did see a glimpse of it in the video. That is why, we are going to look at the best Sakin MG38 loadout we have covered previously.

The Sakin MG38 is one of the best weapons in the game, regardless of the meta due to its consequential damage and range. Its recoil is manageable just like the RPK, and it has powerful Time To Kill (TTK) over medium to long ranges. Our loadout will prioritize long-range stability, bullet velocity, and range.

Alternatively, this gun rivals the RAAL MG, you can use that if you are more comfortable with that. But we highly recommend trying this weapon out if you haven’t already. Let us look at the attachments.

Sakin MG38 Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Rear Grip: Stip-40 Grip
  • Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip/FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S
  • Barrel: Ruen Silver Series

You can change the Optic according to your preference. The same goes for the Underbarrel. The Polarfire-S and the Ruen Silver will increase the bullet velocity and damage range of the weapon along with a couple of more stats. The Stip-40 will prevent your weapon from swaying. A solid loadout that is versatile no matter the range.

9. Lachmann 762 with M4

Lachmann 762 has been out of the meta for a while due to its little brother, the Lachmann 556. It was faster and stronger but due to various changes, it has made a comeback. JGOD calls the Lachmann 762 a “content style gun” where players can have fun with it, albeit he says it is incredibly broken.

Talking about the M4, he said it is another fun weapon to use. This loadout has two versatile and fun weapons. Choose a primary according to your preference. Let us take a look at the attachments for the Lachmann 762, then we will hop onto the M4.

Lachmann 762 Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 50-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Tempus GH50
  • Barrel: 15.9” Lachmann Rapp Barrel

As usual, the Optic can be chosen according to your preference. The 50-Round Magazine aids in fighting multiple enemies. The FTac Ripper 56 is for stability and mobility. The Tempus GH50 is solely for recoil control, while the 15.9” Lachmann Rapp Barrel is a staple for increasing damage range and TTK.

M4 Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 60-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Barrel: Hightower 20”

The first three attachments are a staple for any meta AR loadout. The Harbinger D20 Muzzle offers sound suppression, damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil smoothness. The Hightower 20” increases the same statistics as the muzzle except it offers recoil control instead of recoil smoothness and it also gives a little boost in hip-fire accuracy.

8. M13B with Vaznev 9k

The M13B more or less has now become a meta weapon despite its relative absence in the previous seasons. JGOD mentions that this weapon does “burn through bullets pretty quickly” which is why it can be a problem in longer ranges since you could run out of ammo while shooting. Other than that it is a really solid gun to use in medium to long ranges.

The Vaznev 9k is a really competitive SMG and enjoys a spot on the top tier of the SMGs along with the Lachmann Sub. Its TTK is good, it has lots of Sniper Support potential, and it is one of the best weapons to use at closer ranges. Combined with the M13B, you will have supremacy for both short and long ranges.

M13B Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 60-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Barrel: 14” Bruen Echelon
  • Muzzle: XTEN Ported 290

We already know what the first three attachments do. The 14” Bruen Echelon increases the damage range, hip-fire accuracy, recoil control, and bullet velocity of the weapon. The XTEN Ported 290 offers vertical recoil control because this gun’s kick majorly goes up.

Vaznev 9k Attachments

  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag
  • Stock: Otrezat Stock
  • Rear Grip: Demo X-2 Grip
  • Laser: Schlager Pec Box IV
  • Barrel: Kas-1 254mm

The 45-Round Mag is for close-quarters engagements. The Otrezat stock helps with strafing while the Demo X-2 is for recoil control. The Schlager Pec Box IV increases ADS Speed while the Kas-1 254mm increases bullet velocity, damage range, and hip-fire accuracy.

7. RPK with Kastov 545

The RPK was a monster in the earlier seasons of Warzone because it shredded people no matter the range. Players used to run a standard setup with the RPK and the Fennec for both long and close range, respectively. Now, it is not as good as it was in the earlier seasons, but the recoil is pretty manageable. That is why, we will run the RPK as a primary along with the Kastov 545.

The Kastov 545 was used a lot in the mid-season, and for good reason. This weapon is in a stable spot and does not have game-breaking TTK. However, it still does good damage and is an excellent choice no matter the range. Let us take a look at the attachments for the RPK.

RPK Attachments

  • Rear Grip: Demo X-2 Grip
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: TY-LR8

We already looked at the uses for the Demo X-2, the FTac Ripper, and the Aim OP-V4. Now, the 7.62 High-Velocity ammunition will increase the bullet velocity allowing for better TTK across all ranges. Finish the loadout off with the TY-LR8 which is going to control our horizontal recoil because the gun kick is mainly vertical so we need to ensure that we have almost no horizontal recoil.

Kastov 545 Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 60-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Barrel: IG-K30 406mm

We start with three standard attachments for ARs. This setup is built like the M4 one so you can almost copy it fully except for the barrel. The IG-K30 406mm is there for two reasons; recoil control and bullet velocity. The Kastov 545 needs it because it can be a little tricky to control in longer ranges.

6. HCR with PDSW

The HCR 56 has never actively been in the spotlight in Warzone 2. However, it is still a good weapon due to its nature. This LMG has a large magazine size, so you can prioritize the bullet velocity and recoil control. This loadout will also be a pretty standard LMG loadout with attachments you have seen previously.

The PDSW, on the other hand, was in the meta for a small amount of time but quickly got overshadowed by the Lachmann Sub and the Vaznev 9k. It is still a reliable weapon, and it is fun to use if you are tired of always going with the meta. Let us take a look at the loadouts.

HCR Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Komodo Heavy
  • Barrel: FTac Hornet 20”

We start with three well-known attachments. You can replace the Optic and UNderbarrel according to your preference and comfort. For the muzzle, the Komodo Heavy will help you control the horizontal recoil of the weapon so that you are on target, and the FTac Hornet 20” Barrel will increase our recoil control and bullet velocity at the cost of movement speed, ADS speed, and damage range.

PDSW Attachments

  • Comb: TV TacComb
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip
  • Rail: GR33 Light Rail
  • Laser: 1MW Quick Fire Laser
  • Stock: CQB Stock

Now, these are attachments we have not seen before in the norm, so let’s break them down. We start with the TV Taccomb and the Bruen Q900 Grip, both of which give us increased ADS and sprint-to-fire speed. Follow that up with the GR33 Light Rail, which betters the movement speed of the weapon.

The 1MW Quick Fire Laser will increase the ADS speed, and the CQB Stock is for movement and ADS speeds.

5. Rapp H with FSS Hurricane

JGOD says the Rapp H is one of the best weapons to use. It has a reasonable fire rate, TTK, and recoil control. The only problem is the slow reload of the weapon. That is why it can be problematic when you are on the cusp of a gunfight and run out of ammo. However, for that, we have the FSS Hurricane. However, JGOD recommends running the Fast Hands perk for this one.

JGOD says the FSS Hurricane is slightly better than the PDSW, making it an excellent choice to assist Rapp H. He also liked the damage range, bullet velocity, and the gun’s strafing ability, which is crucial in close-range engagements. JGOD also compared it to the M4, which is a massive compliment since the latter is at a good spot in the meta.

Rapp H Attachments

  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: TY-LR8

This is almost the same loadout as the RPK. There is only one attachment we need to break down: the Lachmann TCG-10 Rear Grip. This attachment is responsible for the recoil control of the weapon. Every other attachment we have covered in the previous loadouts, so you can check them out above.

FSS Hurricane Attachments

  • Laser: Schlager Pec Box IV
  • Stock: Demo Quicksilver Collapsed
  • Rear Grip: XTEN Grip
  • Ammunition: 5.7X28mm Overpressured +P
  • Muzzle: FTac Castle Comp

The Schlager Pec Box IV increases the ADS speed of the weapon, while the Demo Quicksilver Collapsed Stock provides multiple stat bonuses. The attachment gives increased ADS speed, sprint-to-fire speed, movement speed, and hip recoil control.

The XTEN Grip Rear Grip increases ADS and sprint to fire speed, making it easier to pull your gun up after running. The 5.7X28mm Overpressured +P is a unique ammunition that makes your target flinch while shooting. Finish the loadout off with the FTac Castle Comp, which controls both the horizontal and vertical recoil of the weapon, making it ideal for even medium ranges.

4. ISO Hemlock with P890

The ISO Hemlock has made a comeback in the meta. However, it would be even better if it had a more prominent magazine. But it still rips even though you will run out of bullets quickly. The gun has controllable recoil, and the damage is fair, even in the longest of ranges. It is a standalone weapon to help you dominate close to medium ranges.

The P890, on the other hand, has a lesser magazine capacity which is also its biggest drawback. You will run out of bullets reasonably quickly. JGOD put this weapon in this video because it is slightly better than all other pistol options that took a nerf in the update.

ISO Hemlock Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Barrel: Fielder T-50

Most of the attachments are standard except for the Fielder T-50. The Fielder T-50 Barrel is one of the best barrels since it boosts damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control. In addition, we have a reduced extended magazine, so keep that in mind before engaging enemies.

P890 Attachments

  • Magazine: 12-Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: FJX DVF60 Grip
  • Laser: Series 710 Pistol Laser
  • Trigger Action: Bruen Express
  • Barrel: Matuzek CottonMouth

We start off with the much-required 12-Round Mag because this weapon does not have many bullets. Follow up with the FJX DVF60 Grip, which betters the weapon’s recoil. The Series 710 Pistol Laser provides aiming stability which this weapon desperately needs.

We will also equip the Bruen Express Trigger Action, which will let us shoot the gun faster, and the Matuzek CottonMouth increases the damage range, which is essential if you want to take advantage of this weapon’s bullet velocity.

3. Tempus Razorback with X12

We are getting into the pure meta weapons category in Warzone 2, starting with the Tempus Razorback. The weapons showcased in this loadout have the lowest recoil, so shooting in the furthest ranges will be easy. The Tempus Razorback received a considerable buff quite recently, making it an excellent weapon for now.

The X12, on the other hand, is a low recoil pistol with a max fire rate of 500 which can be lethal no matter the range. It is one of the best pistols because all the other pistols got huge nerfs. Let us look at the loadouts.

Tempus Razorback Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 60-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: DM Proto-Grip
  • Barrel: 16” Tankr-V
  • Muzzle: XTEN Ported 290

We start off with the standard extended magazine and an Optic of your choice. Follow that up with the DM Proto-Grip for control and the 16” Tankr-V for further recoil control and bullet velocity. Lastly, the XTEN Ported 290 will give us vertical recoil control, which is essential for this weapon. With these attachments, you will have almost zero recoil on the weapon.

X12 Attachments

  • Magazine: 33-Round Mag
  • Laser: Series 710 Pistol Laser
  • Trigger Action: XRK Lightning Fire
  • Barrel: XRK Sidewinder-6 Slide
  • Muzzle: Bruen Tri-Port

We have covered the extended magazine and the laser in the previous loadout. The XRK Lightning Fire Trigger Action increases the fire rate of the weapon. The XRK Sidewinder-6 Slide betters the recoil control of the pistol and increases the bullet velocity at the cost of ADS and movement speed, but that won’t be a problem.

Lastly, the Bruen Tri-Port betters the vertical recoil so that the weapon stays stable at the longest of ranges.

2. TAQ V with ISO 45

The TAQ V has been on the minds of Warzone 2 players for quite a while, as it has become one of the best meta weapons to use due to its versatility. JGOD mentions that the TAQ V has entered the meta due to the nerf of the Cronen. The TAQ has a bit more recoil than other weapons, but it makes up for that in damage.

Since entering the game, ISO 45 has made a statement and has become an SMG that competes with the Lachmann Sub and the Vaznev. Its fire rate is competitive, and with these attachments below, your strafing and recoil control with the weapon will significantly improve.

TAQ V Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 50-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip
  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40

Due to its bullet velocity, we will build this weapon up for control. The first three attachments are standard for clear tracking, ammo management, and mobility. The FSS Combat Grip will provide much-needed recoil control since the TAQ V moves up a lot when firing. Finish the loadout off with the Sakin Tread-40 for horizontal and vertical recoil control to make it a stable weapon.

ISO 45 Attachments

  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: EXP Shear
  • Stock: Demo Fade Tac
  • Muzzle: Spiral V3.5 Flash Hider
  • Barrel: 7” EX Raptor-V2

We start off with an extended magazine for better ammo management. Then follow it up with the EXP Shear Rear Grip for ADS and sprint to fire speed. The Demo Fade Tac Stock is for improved strafing since it increases aim walking speed and sprint speed. Follow up with the Spiral V3.5 Flash Hider to conceal your muzzle flash and improve recoil.

For the last attachment, we will use the 7” EX Raptor-V2 for increased ADS speed, movement speed, and hipfire recoil control.

1. Cronen Squall with Lachmann Sub

The Cronen Squall has been an on-and-off gun in the meta for quite some time due to its constant nerfs and buffs. However, it is still a viable weapon. JGOD suspects the Cronen can fall below the TAQ V and the other weapons due to the Season 5 updates and as soon as people adapt to the patches’ changes.

The Lachmann Sub, on the other hand, has been a staple SMG for the most part. It has always been in the meta due to its fast fire rate and strafing ability. Both of these weapons are good and the best in combination to use in the game.

Cronen Squall Attachments

  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine: 50-Round Drum
  • Underbarrel: FTac Ripper 56
  • Barrel: HR6.8
  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40

We have covered most of the attachments in this guide except the HR 6.8 Barrel. The attachment is meant to increase the weapon’s bullet velocity and damage range. This loadout is meant to boost the weapon’s recoil control, ammo management, TTK, and mobility.

Lachmann Sub Attachments

  • Magazine: 50-Round Drum
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
  • Laser: 1MW Quick Fire Laser
  • Stock: FT Mobile Stock
  • Barrel: L38 Falcon 226mm

We have previously covered the first three attachments in the Rapp H and PDSW loadout breakdowns. Now let us move on to the last two attachments. The FT Mobile Stock improves the weapon’s speed by multiple metrics. It increases the ADS speed, crouch movement speed, sprint speed, and aim walking speed of the weapon. Lastly, the L38 Falcon 226mm increases the ADS and movement speed further to make the Lachmann Sub one of the fastest weapons in the game.

That is all you need to know about these meta weapons in Warzone 2.0. If you liked these loadout breakdowns, perhaps you’d like some of our others. Click here to check them out.
