Having Labeled Heat Teammates ‘Cheap’, Jimmy Butler Hilariously Gives ‘Kid Reporter’ Harsh Taste of Reality over $20 Coffee: “For You Its Now $25, for Your Dad Its $50“
It seems like Jimmy Butler is slowly getting over the Miami Heat’s bathetic downfall in the 2023 NBA Finals. The Heat star had been making headlines for sinking impossible shots in front of school kids during his Li-Ning China tour. Despite impressing kids in China with his brilliant skillset, Butler seemed to be averse to fulfilling kids’ wishes in America. In fact, the six-time NBA All-Star recently brutally turned down a kid reporter’s innocent request to uphold his Big Face Coffee brand’s reputation.
Butler has been dominating the postseason for the past few years, leading his team to two NBA Finals in the past four years. However, the 6’7 small forward has been attentive to the business side of things as well despite draining himself completely in the gym every day. Butler created Big Face Coffee while being locked inside the NBA’s Orlando bubble in 2020, to hustle some money out of his teammates.

Charging $20 for a single cup of coffee, Jimmy managed to hustle $6000 from his teammates capitalizing on the dire times. However, Heat players have been less inclined to buy his notoriously overpriced coffee since then. This then prompted Butler to hilariously call out his peers for their ‘cheap’ antics.
Jimmy Butler denies kid reporter’s humble request
In a viral clip that is doing the rounds on NBA Twitter, Jimmy Butler could be seen approached by a kid reporter while he was about to drive away in his car. The kid pointed out the high prices of Jimmy’s coffee brand, asking for a coupon so that she and her dad can buy some of his overpriced coffee.
However, the child’s adorable plea failed to melt Butler’s heart. On the contrary, he ended up hiking the prices even more for the kid and her father. “No, it’s not [expensive]…We don’t have coupons at Big Face Coffee. Prices are going up, so for you its now $25, for your dad, its $50…make sure you come, no coupons, with your $25.”
Jimmy has no chill 😭

Disappointed by Butler’s response, the kid promised to make more money to be able to afford Big Face Coffee. Meanwhile, the hilarious interaction sent NBA fans into a frenzy of laughter. They clowned Butler in the comments for rejecting the kid’s sweet request.
Big Face brand is no joke
Even though it all started as a joke, Big Face brand is not a joke anymore. Butler is dedicated to turning his casual side hustle into a full-fledged business.
However, it’s uncertain whether the lifestyle brand will be able to sustain itself with its pricey products. But Butler seems indifferent. He proved after rejecting the kid’s entreaties that he has no intentions of reducing the prices of his products whether they sell or not.
