The Raptors have defeated the Lakers and the Heat in their first two league games in the bubble. The Orlando Magic defeated the depleted Nets and the Kings in their first two league games but were thumped by the Pacers in their next game.

The Raptors have been in blazing form in the last two games. Kyle Lowry dismantled title favorites LeBron’s Lakers to send a stern message to the rest of the league. Nick Nurse has been instrumental in shaping his squad to challenge for the title again. The Raptors have responded well to their coach as four of their stars are averaging their career-best stats in points scored this season

Kyle Lowry has averaged almost 20 points per game this season while Pascal Siakam has attained stardom this season after leading the squad from the front. Lowry and OG Anunoby led the scoring against the Lakers while Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet got the job done against the Heat. The Raptors have not only out-scored their opponents but their defense has been rock solid this season.

Team Preview – Orlando Magic

The Magic defeated the Nets to temporarily move up to 7th spot but relinquished it after losing to the Indiana Pacers. Jonathan Isaac tore the ACL in his left knee, which was the same knee he injured on Jan. 1. The Magic played some great basketball in the first game though.

Aaron Gordon scored 20 points and 7 rebounds, Vucevic scored 24 points and 10 rebounds and Ross scored 20 points off the bench against the Pacers.

The franchise has some tough games ahead of them. The Magic face Raptors, 76ers and Celtics in the next three clashes starting tonight. The Magic have struggled on the defensive end and have given away an average of 118 points in their 3 games in the bubble.

Magic will now have to play out of their skins and stay really focussed if they have to clinch that final playoff spot.

Expected starting line-up: Markelle Fultz, Evan Fournier, James Ennis III, Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic

Expect the Raptors to steamroll the Magic considering their current form and multiple scorers. Kyle Lowry, van Vleet and Siakam are in unbelievable scoring and defensive form. The Raptors are clicking as a unit and hence, it will be extremely difficult for the ‘Aaron Gordon dependent Magic’ to get anything out of this game.

Moreover, Magic have been hapless defensively, something that won’t go in their favour against the well-oiled Raptors offense.
