Former Cowboys Star Deion Sanders Makes Bold Predictions on 'Monday Night Football

Deion Sanders is the former Dallas Cowboys star who remains in the headlines given his passionate takes on football. He currently coaches the team at the University of Colorado and while he refuses to coach in the NFL, his insightful conversations are worth looking forward to. In an episode from ESPN – ‘Monday Night Football with Peyton & Eli’, Sanders spoke about the Championship Game and why he thinks Cowboys can make it to the Super Bowl.

While Sanders may not want to coach in the NFL, his passion for the game and his dedication to the Cowboys remain strong. He praised Cowboys’ GM Jerry Jones and his contribution to put together a championship team. Deion confidently discussed his predictions for the team, envisioning their success in the championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The ‘Coach Prime’ as Deion Sanders is often referred to, famously has “old-school attributes”, his enthusiasm went to a whole different level with game predictions. Not only this, he spoke about his former team Dallas Cowboys, having earlier mentioned that he loves Jerry as an owner, and it’s only a matter of effort until Dallas makes it to Super Bowl.

Deion Sanders Speaks on His Support for Dallas Cowboys to Go All the Way This Year

Deion Sanders sat down in a conversation, with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, voicing his praises for Jerry Jones as the Dallas Cowboys GM. “Jerry has an innate ability to make the fans believe that the Cowboys have a chance every year to win the Super Bowl. I don’t care what it looks like; we believe that they have a shot. I truly believe that they do,” Sanders remarked, acknowledging Jones’ talent for generating optimism. Sanders declared,

“I see them going against Philly in the championship game, and it’s going to be a great one. They have all the pieces; they just got to put it together and make it happen.”

In another segment of his conversation with the Mannings, Coach Prime gave his predictions, ruling out Eli’s prediction. As Eli mentions that the Philadelphia Eagles would go against his former team NY Giants, Sanders jumps with his own views. He said, “Eagles are going to win, you know that right?”

Deion set aside all predictions made by Eli Manning. Also, stealing the light of the moment, he invited Peyton Manning to join him on the possible results of a showdown between the Eagles and the Giants. Peyton confidently spoke, “Eli, let it go!”  just as Eli Manning was about to contradict him with his own opinions.

Deion Sanders Declaration Regarding His Avoidance to Coach in the NFL

In an earlier interview with Bri Amaranthus with Sports Illustrated, Sanders went vocal that he doesn’t want to coach the Cowboys. “I am cut a little different and I love Jerry Jones. I tremendously love that whole family,” Sanders expressed, emphasizing his admiration for the Jones. It is evident that Sanders has a deep appreciation for the organization and its owner, recognizing Jones’ ability to instill hope and belief in Cowboys fans year after year.

Since Sanders took over the helm, the University of Colorado has done a good job so far. While he already made it quite clear that he doesn’t want to consider coaching for the Cowboys, he also mentioned that he does not want to coach in the NFL at all. “I don’t have any desire or ambition to coach in the NFL,” Sanders firmly stated. However, he clarified, “I would be too tough as a coach in the NFL. I still have those old-school attributes.”

Deion Sanders chose a different path by opting not to coach in the NFL, but his heart remains in football. His unwavering support for the Cowboys and passion as a collegiate-level coach showcases his dedication to football. While Sanders may have moved to collegiate coaching, his impact will continue on and off the field.
