Odell Beckham Jr Can Make a Lethal Impact When Paired With Zay Flowers as He Showed His Impeccable Technique

A month ago, Odell Beckham Jr. agreed to a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens. The 30-year-old missed last year’s NFL season after suffering a knee injury in the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023. Even though he could not find a team last year to play with, Odell remained super chill as he wanted to take his time before finally signing a deal.

A few weeks ago, OBJ finally signed a $15 million contract with the team from Baltimore. Lauded as one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL, OBJ has all skills needed to take the Lamar Jackson-led offense to great heights. Moreover, to add to his already impressive talent, the Ravens drafted a young wide receiver named Bay Flowers in this year’s NFL Draft. In fact, after Zay’s induction, a video in which he was seen foxing his opponents with utter ease went crazy viral.

In the said video, Zay can be seen showcasing his ability to cut dimes and he looks so immaculately impressive at what he is doing that it ended up making opponent fans a tad bit anxious. Several football enthusiasts also opined with a talent like Flowers on the squad, Baltimore might manage to win more games this season.

Will Flowers take the Ravens’ offense to great heights?

Zay’s incredible performances at Boston shows that he has everything needed to help out new signee, Odell Beckham Jr., and former first-time rounder Rashod Bateman. Although many believe that his short size would be a concern, his router running ability should allow him to win in space, primarily if the defense of the group is concerned with OBJ and tight end Mark Andrews.

It would be safe to say that the young talent has made Ravens’ receivers den even more fearsome. To add to it, in the minicamp organized by the Ravens for their first year, players engaged themselves in real football schemes, which would have surely given Flowers a lot of confidence.

He said, as per NFL.com,I feel like I’m a complete receiver. I can do it all,” Flowers said. “You name it, I’ll be able to do it. I honestly don’t have a preference (on where I line up) because I feel like I can run every route on the outside, and I can run every route on the inside.” Hence, it will be interesting to see how the new player will help his team.

Will the recent assault allegations against OBJ have any effect on his season?

Right after his deal with Baltimore, news broke out that the former Super Bowl winner was named as a suspect in an assault investigation. The news was initially reported by TMZ, which later elaborated that a woman claimed the star WR put his hands around her neck at a Los Angeles restaurant.

But the players’ representatives and the restaurant owner where the incident allegedly took place, said that the claim made by the woman was completely false.

We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos, the claim is false.   There is no evidence of this person even being in the area where she claims the incident occurred,” said John Terzian, the owner of L.A Hotspot.

After looking at these details, it seems unlikely that Odell will get into any trouble over this controversy. Hence, it would be fair to assume that he will come out all guns blazing with a fresh mindset in the coming season.
