Adesanya didn’t like Andrew Tate cancellation
Israel Adesanya recently shared his thoughts on the controversy surrounding Andrew Tate’s cancellation. As someone who shares a background in kickboxing and the UFC with Tate, Adesanya expressed interest in potentially training with the internet personality. Despite the backlash against Tate, Adesanya did not see any issues with associating with him.
He said, “A few months ago, before he got ‘canceled’…can’t cancel anyone. Umm, yeah, he just started to pop up on my Instagram. One of my YouTube and I was like, who the fu*k’s this guy,”
“I saw him in Dubai. People were going at Funkmaster for that. I was like, ‘you can’t hang out with people? The fu*k?” He further added.
Adesanya had previously expressed confusion over the negative reactions to those who spend time with Tate. During the lead up to UFC 281, Tate was in Dubai and met with several UFC fighters, including Aljamain Sterling.
However, Sterling received criticism for associating with Tate. Adesanya could not understand why people were being judged for simply hanging out with someone and did not see any harm in meeting with Tate.
