Aljamain Sterling has become a resounding figure lately. The No.2 in the Bantamweight rankings, poses premier challenge for the title. Yet, Dana White refuses to acknowledge him as the No.1 Contender.

Aljamain Sterling has been knocking on the door to receive a title bout for quite some time. Many believed at UFC 251 , it should have been him in the title picture, but Petr Yan and Jose Aldo eventually fought for the vacant Bantamweight Title. After 251, the 30-year-old has been popularly vouched as the No.1 contender to face Petr Yan.

What Dana White Exactly Said?

With five wins in a row, and an impressive MMA record of 19-3, the Funk Master looks destined to get a title shot. But the president is yet to concur with this. Dana White, after the culmination of UFC Fight Island 2, addressed the press, where a question regarding possibility of Aljamain Sterling being the No.1 contender for the Bantamweight title was also asked. To which White did not gave a certain answer, rather he shunned the question with a text-book reply.

Though Dana White said he is right there, however it is difficult to gauge, who Aljamain Sterling is competing with.
