In the run-up to UFC 259, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling engaged in a heated one-to-one on Twitter. UFC 259 is set to take place on March 6, 2021.

Just two weeks are remaining for the one of two marquee events of March to get on. UFC 259 is one of the most anticipated Pay-Per-View events of the recent past and considering the card it carries it may turn out to become the PPV of the year.

While three championships will be on the line at the event, it is the Bantamweight encounter between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling, that has an intriguing build-up out of all.

Over the past 6 months, the two have indulged in a number of Twitter fallouts and now with a fortnight left for the D-Day to arrive, the champion challenger duo once again engaged in a quarrel on the micro-blogging platform.

On Sunday, the UFC Bantamweight champion Petr Yan and the No.1 ranked fighter of the division Aljamain Sterling traded shots on social media. It started with Yan posting a clip of his training act with the caption “Aljo is fu***d”, which apparently drew the attention of Funk Master, and hence an argument ensued. The exchange was in respect of their upcoming fight and some final warnings were issued from both sides.
