Saraya Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks has been making headlines since after her infamous walkout in mid-May causing waves in the world of pro wrestling. It’s been seven months since her absence from the ring and fans can’t get enough of speculating about Sasha Banks’ future in wrestling. As noted earlier, Sasha’s contract with WWE expires at the start of the new year, 2023. It is reported that Sasha Banks will appear in NJPW’s big upcoming event, Wrestle Kingdom 17. After the rumor about her appearance spread, fans have been theorizing that she is more likely to leave WWE and jump ship to either NJPW or AEW.

During her absence, the Boss along with her tag team partner Naomi was seen attending fashion events. However, Banks has not commented anything about her status in WWE so far.

According to reports, WWE may let go of Banks because of her high asking price or may even choose to renew her contract as she is the best thing going in the women’s division of wrestling.

Saraya on rumors regarding Sasha Banks being her mystery tag team partner

Saraya is set to team up with an undisclosed mystery tag team partner to take on Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter in a tag team match on a forthcoming 11th edition of AEW Dynamite in January. With Sasha Banks’ supposed appearance on Wrestle Kingdom 17 and AEW’s strong ties with New Japan Pro Wrestling, fans are speculating that Sasha could be Saraya’s mystery tag team partner.

Speaking in an interview with Forbes, Saraya commented on the rumors. According to her, fans connect every mystery in wrestling with Sasha Banks given that she is a hot topic for discussion in everybody’s mind.

“I feel like anytime there’s a mystery, everyone always goes straight for Mercedes (laughs). They’re like—straight away—it’s her! There’s plenty of women out there, I’m not going to say yes or no to anybody, but there’s a lot of exciting prospects for a potential tag partner.” Said Saraya.

Saraya further praised Sasha for her incredible prowess in the wrestling business and stated that she would love to work with her again in any capacity. It is important to note that Saraya did not accept or deny Sasha’s potential debut in AEW.

Sasha Banks hints at a possible in-ring return

The Legit Boss appeared as a guest on Bayley’s Instagram Live Stream to discuss wrestling and more. During their conversation, Sasha Banks recounted the years she has been active in the business. According to the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion, she has been in the industry for almost 13 years and yet her body feels fine and she has a lot left in the tank.

“It goes by so quick. It goes by so, so quick. I’ll be doing this for almost 13 years coming up,” Sasha Banks said. “That’s a long time. How’s my body? It’s pretty good. It’s not bad. Definitely ready to leap frog, drop down, hiptoss, tackle. Yeah, probably I’ll do it in that order. Just to switch it up a little bit.”

Now that Banks has confirmed her willingness to return to the business, it remains to be seen if Sasha Banks returns to WWE or debut elsewhere. Stick around for updates.
