LeBron James’ Son Bronny Reveals Reason Behind Wearing “No. 0” and it Having a Russell Westbrook Connection 

Being the eldest child of NBA superstar LeBron James, Bronny was well aware of what he was stepping into when he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. The 18-year-old is one of the most publicized high school prospects, courtesy of his lineage.

Currently a senior at Sierra Canyon School in LA, Bronny’s games are a hunting ground for scouts, media, and fans, with some of his games even being nationally televised. A four-star recruit, the 6ft 3″ guard needs to improve in certain aspects before he decides to go pro.

Son of a generational talent like King James, one would assume Bronny to take after his father in every aspect, be it even his jersey no. However, the Sierra Canyon guard chose no. 0 over 23, deciding to honor one of his favorite players while growing up, Russell Westbrook.

Given his hops and physical attributes, Bronny does emulate a few aspects of Brodie’s game. James Jr.’s recent confession had interesting reactions to it on Twitter.

im sure if you look at Russell Westbrook highlights in high school they are nowhere near as flashy as Bronnie’s and im a huge Russ fan but it just goes to show how this game is evolving.

Russell Westbrook is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Though he may not have the same impact today, unlike his years in Oklahoma, Westbrook is a top 75 player of all-time. One of the if not the most athletic point guard, the 6ft 3″ guard averaged a triple-double in  3-seasons of his career.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned post his arrival in LA, making him a prime subject of online trolling. Many forget some of the former OKC superstar’s list of accolades which include a league MVP, two scoring titles, nine All-Star selections, nine All-NBA selections, not to forget him being the all-time leader in triple-doubles.
