“Fake Dennis Rodman Trying Trick Shots!”: NBA Twitter Reacts as Spurs’ Jeremy Sochan Shoots One-Handed Free Throws Against Rockets
The San Antonio Spurs are in Houston tonight, as they’re taking on the Rockets. The two teams fought for the 14th seed as they both held a 9-20 record coming into the game. While it was a game that most of the league didn’t pay much attention to, Spurs’ rookie Jeremy Sochan brought a ton of attention to the League Pass game.
So far in his rookie season, Sochan has been reminding people of a former #10 for the Spurs: Dennis Rodman. From pinching Steven Adam’s nipple to rocking colored hair like The Worm, Sochan is getting a ton of Rodman comparisons.
Tonight he took it to the next level as he recreated Rodman’s iconic green hair with the Spurs.

Jeremy Sochan tries one-handed free throws amidst struggles
So far in this young season, the 9th pick from the 2022 Draft, Jeremy Sochan, has been struggling from the free throw line. The rookie from Baylor is shooting 45.8% from the charity stripe. This is certainly a troublesome number and it seems like the rookie is trying new things to get better at it.
Tonight, while playing against the Rockets, Sochan tried one-handed free throws.

NBA Twitter saw this and couldn’t help but react to the same.

It’s a miracle how Sochan could do this while Gregg Popovich still calls the shots in San Antonio. I guess the next practice wouldn’t be easy for the rookie.
How was Dennis Rodman as a shooter?
We all know of the big triples Dennis Rodman made for the Bulls in the 1997 Playoffs. Having played 14 seasons in the NBA, Dennis Rodman played a total of 911 games in the regular season and 169 playoff games.
During the regular season, Rodman shot 52.1% from the field, 23.1% from the deep, and 58.4% from the charity stripe. The playoffs were no better for the worm. In the playoffs, he shot 49% from the field, 14.9% from the deep, and 54% from the free throw line.
Maybe Sochan truly is following in Rodman’s footsteps.
