This year’s Gamescom was no less grand, as various developers revealed their highly-anticipated video games. But we also got to witness an intriguing incident during the gaming expo’s Opening Night Live Event when a crazy fan invaded the stage to demand the release of the much-awaited GTA 6.
GTA 6 fan invades the Gamescom 2023 stage
On the opening night of Gamescom 2023, the host Geoff Keighley was announcing the much-awaited game, Starfield. Even the audience was incredibly hyped to learn more about the upcoming RPG. However, the moment was ruined by an invader who got on the stage.
The invader went up to Keighley to forcefully talk through his mic. The reason behind this bold move was to demand Rockstar Games to release GTA 6. But nobody in the arena appreciated this gesture, as the other fans booed him for this.
Many might not know that this isn’t the first time the stage invader did something like this. In fact, he interrupted quite a few live German TV shows. Moreover, even at those venues, he had the same demand as Gamescom 2023, that is, the release of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title.
Grand Theft Auto VI, better known as GTA 6, is one of the most anticipated games right now. We cannot even blame the fans for being this excited about the game since, after all, the last installment in this renowned franchise by Rockstar Game was GTA V in 2013.
GTA V has entertained the fans for over a decade. But they eventually got bored of it and sought a new installment for the past few years. Rockstar Games heard those requests and finally announced that they were working on a new title in the franchise.
Since GTA 6’s announcement, fans have been trying their best to control their eagerness. But Rockstar Games being so tight-lipped about it makes fans even more anxious, which is possibly leading others to leak content or pull off these idiotic moves.
