Emotional Tom Brady Kissing His Parents After Playoff Loss Further Fuels ‘Retirement Rumors’
Sunday Night was big in the NFL world. As Tom Brady appeared in his 20th NFL playoffs, his story for this season ended like his season has been. With an average showing through the year, Brady saw the door early in the playoffs, losing the wild card game to The Dallas Cowboys.
Tom Brady has had a rollercoaster of a year. The legendary quarterback has gone through a divorce and has been in and out of form throughout the year. With his personal life taking a toll on him, the 45-year-old wasn’t his best self consistently throughout the season. He did, however, showcase moments of vintage Tom Brady in parts of the season.
The Bucs quarterback ended up making a few records again this season, something that is just natural to him and his longevity in the NFL. The much-spoken of divorce of the year was an end product of Tom Brady choosing his professional career over his family. Shortly after announcing his retirement earlier this year, Tom Brady announced his comeback to the NFL. It’s evident, he couldn’t stay away from the game that has given him the name and fame he has today.
End of the Tom Brady era?
As Brady took to the field against the Cowboys, he may have appeared in his final NFL game. The Bucs who have been very average on offense all season, had a similar showing last night. Overpowered by the Cowboys’ defense, Tom Brady managed to throw just two touchdowns and was picked once. He had a poor pass completion rate, completing only 35 of his 66 attempted passes. With this performance, the Bucs bowed out of Superbowl contention with a 31-14 scoreline.
Tom Brady was denied his 8th ring this year, but this only keeps his future a mystery. A perfect ending for him would be with a ring, so maybe he is still hungry for more and will be back in action in the 2023 season. Post the loss, a video of Brady did the rounds as he greeted his parents while walking off the pitch. Tom Brady embraced his parents, giving them a kiss as the Tampa Bay crowd cheered him off the pitch.

Though he has always been a family man and showed love for his family publicly on many occasions, this goodbye kiss has caught more eyeballs than any other. With his personal issues, lack of a competitive squad to work with in Tampa Bay, and his age factor, many see this as the end of one of the best sporting legacies.
As he enters his off-season, his competitive nature won’t let him leave the sport on a low. He will have a lot of thinking to do as the 2023 season approaches. As for his options, all teams would pounce on the opportunity of having him, even though he approaches the 50-year mark. That is how great of a quarterback Tom Brady is.
