The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t performed as well as they were expected to this season. Although their star quarterback Tom Brady did script a couple of astounding come from behind victories, against some of the stronger units, he has struggled to lead his side effectively.

Last Sunday, the Buccaneers took on last season’s Super Bowl runner ups, the Cincinnati Bengals and after gaining a massive lead by halftime, the Brady-led unit ended up gifting the game to their counterparts.

By halftime, the Buccaneers had a 14 point lead and it was looking like the Bucs will script an easy win. However, things went terribly wrong for them in the third quarter when the Bengals showcased why they are being regarded as one of the stronger units in the competition.

The Bengals scored a whopping 17 points in the third quarter to take the lead and after that, the Joe Barrow-Led franchise gave Brady and his boys absolutely zero chances of scripting a comeback. During the game, the Bucs committed many errors and one of them came from running back Giovani Bernard.

Buccaneers RB Giovani Bernard Lost His Cool While Interacting With Reporters After Loss Against Bengals

A failed fake punt attempt from $3 million worth Giovani did play a big role in allowing the Bengals to consolidate their position during the game and after the contest ended, he was asked about the same by the media.

In a video shared on Twitter by ESPN’s Jenna Laine, when Giovani was asked about the botched fake punt, he responded by in turn asking the reporters as to why they want to talk to him now when they haven’t done so the entire season.

Post that, a reported fired back by claiming that the RB hasn’t really done anything substantial this season which is why, they didn’t ask him anything. “It was all me,” was Giovani’s response before taking a leave.

When the video of the incident went viral, many fans claimed that the reporters should have focussed on Tom Brady instead of Giovani as the QB’s 4 turnovers actually ruined the game for his team. Many also reprimanded the reporters for questioning the Running Back.

The way Tom has performed and behaved with his mates on the sidelines, it won’t be wrong to say that a few Bucs players won’t be happy with his leadership. Moreover, Tom’s angry outbursts which won’t really get any strong comebacks as the QB is one of the greatest, might be pushing the other players over the edge which is actually visible in interactions like the Giovani one.

Tom’s leadership has been under the scanner this entire season and heated exchanges involving his players and the media are only going to make things worse for him and his team.
