Is Nikola Jokic Playing Tonight vs Pelicans? Nuggets Release Update For Their Back-to-Back MVP
Denver has, at long last, begun playing to its true potential. The Nuggets have amassed 51 wins in their present campaign and have sustained 24 losses. Nikola Jokic has been an indispensable figure in their success.
With Jokic in the saddle, the Nuggets are on pace for their best record during the regular season in over a decade. With seven games to go, it’s no secret that Denver would love to cling to that top spot.
Considering that just about every team is now on the prowl for clinching a playoff spot, the league has undoubtedly reached a decisive stretch.
Nikola Jokic is listed as ‘Questionable’ for tonight’s game
The Denver Nuggets are hosting the New Orleans Pelicans at the Ball Arena tonight. With NOLA on the hunt for a playoff spot, one can imagine the gravity of the game for both sides.
Although the Nuggets will be with Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., it’s unassertive as to whether the two-time NBA MVP will play tonight. Mike Singer revealed late last night that the Serbian was listed as questionable for the Nuggets’ upcoming game tonight.

The Joker is reportedly experiencing calf tightness in his right leg. Which has rendered him uncertain to play against the Pelicans. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr are unequivocally spectacular talents and stars in their own right.
However, the 28-year-old’s absence will be felt in full force by his teammates, especially on the offensive end.
The Joker’s current campaign
Nikola Jokic has been on a tear throughout the 2022/2023 campaign. The Nuggets talisman has been handed the keys to the kingdom and suffice it to say, he has delivered on his end. At the very least, during the regular season.
The Nuggets have not found any conspicuous success in the playoffs so far with Jokic. Nonetheless, the rationale and circumstances surrounding these postseason runs weren’t favorable to the center.
Injuries and a drastically incompetent team caused a hindrance to the Serb’s post-season run over the past few years. Despite this, the seven-footer has been able to attain successive NBA MVP awards.
As the winner of the coveted trophy for the past two years running, Jokic is a petrifying sight for the league. Rather than resting on his laurels, the Nuggets center has returned hungrier.
Thereby, asserting himself as the frontrunner for the NBA MVP award once again, for the third consecutive year. Jokic’s loss, albeit for one night, could prove to be vital, as it could display a bleak future in the upcoming postseason, provided he doesn’t play.
As things stand, the two-time NBA MVP will not feature in the franchise’s game tonight.
